I submit to you that there is a direct proportional relationship between the speed and volume of (mostly interstate) private car traffic, and the attraction of parcels such as these to automobile service business owners and their potential customers. Shouldn’t we be advocating for, and defending, better transit and transportation engineering on Benning that calms traffic for our seniors and school students and promotes a more walkable retail district?
