Developing Families Center Needs Volunteers!

Please join the Developing Families Center (DFC) for their "Playground Build Day!" - in partnership with KaBOOM! playgrounds and National Academies



Please consider volunteering your time and skills as the center builds a playground for DFC kids — in just one day!

When: Saturday, June 27th 8:00 am
Where: Developing Families Center building, 801 17th Street, NE
Who: Volunteers of all ages and skill-levels
What: Playground building, music, games for kids and food provided for volunteers

The Developing Families Center consists of three organizations:

Healthy Babies Project - provides support for pregnant women and families with young children in wards 5, 7 and 8, including parenting classes, nurse case managers, home visits, and a variety of classes designed to help families raise healthier, happier children.

The Family Health and Birth Center - provides primary care for children, prenatal and GYN care for women, and birth services in and out of the hospital.

• United Planning Organization - operates a day care center in our building as well for children aged 0-3 years.
