About Us
Who We Are
The Rosedale Citizens Alliance (RCA) consists of residents of Rosedale and surrounding neighborhoods in Northeast Washington DC. RCA was established to help area residents collaborate on important issues facing our community. To address these issues, RCA members meet on a regular basis, run a website and neighborhood listserv, and work with local government and community organizations.
What We Do
Since our creation in fall 2005, we've
* coordinated street cleanings and other volunteer projects in Rosedale
* organized a voter forum for Ward 6 City Council candidates
* organized meetings with Mayor Fenty and Ward 6 Councilmember Tommy Wells to discuss neighborhood issues
* testified at DC Council hearings
* assumed responsibility for the neighborhood's community garden
* secured a grant to install treeboxes along Rosedale streets.
