ANC6A Single Member Districts (SMD)
Last year, volunteers conducted a survey of vacant properties in ANC6A and found that many of the properties on DCRA's vacant property list were actually occupied. They also found a significant number of vacant properties that weren't on the vacant property list.
Fortunately, ANC6A was able to work with DCRA to help make their list accurate for properties. This spared many innocent people astronomical tax bills and helped get long-time vacant properties fixed up and reoccupied.
The ANC6A ED&Z Committee would like to revive the effort to survey vacant properties in each SMD within ANC6A. The good news is that DCRA's list now contains 150 properties, whereas, last year it contained approximately 400 properties. So, the job won't be nearly as difficult as it was last year.
This is an important effort, so please consider volunteering.
