BeyondDC asked DDOT about the change in Streetcar line priorities from Anacostia to H St/Benning Rd. To clariffy, it appears DDOT is now attempting to accelerate the H St/Benning Rd line so both lines are hopefully up and running by 2012. that is great news for both sides of the river.
Now, here is a suggestion to DDOT - bring those 3 cars, that are stored in the Czech Republic, to DC and display them near both future streetcar-lines as a promotional campaign to motivate everyone involved to keep the target date on 'track'!
