What appears to be a non-fatal shooting occurred yesterday, February 10, 2009 around 5:30PM, on the corner of 17th & Gales Street, NE. MPD has verified that the incident did NOT occur on Rosedale Recreation Center grounds.

"On February 10th, 2009, First District units responded for the sound of gunshots at 17th & Gales Street, NE at approximately 1723 hours. Once on the scene two adult victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the hospital were they are currently receiving treatment. First District detectives are currently investigating the incident."
"Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to DC CRIME SOLVERS at 1-866-411-TIPS and to the department's TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000."
