2nd Annual Ward 6 Family Day!

The 2nd Annual Ward 6 Family Day on Saturday June 21 was a great success! We had great weather and the Rosedale Recreation Center was the perfect venue. The pool was open for kids of all ages, the baseball field was used for a frienldy game between residents, a stage was set up for live music and performances, free food and drinks were enjoyed by all (donated by Harris Teeter), Italian ice was freshly made to keep cool, local community oganization booths were providing information, an arts and crafts table was alive with kid creations and plenty of gift certificates (donated by Ward 6 merchants) were given away to attendees. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. And, a big thanks to Ward 6 CM Tommy Wells and his staff for hosting this fun-filled event.
