Highlights on the agenda include
-- presentation by Hiram Brewton, Ward 6 Outreach and Community
Services Specialist, Office of the Mayor --rescheduled from December meeting--
(Mr. Brewton will be working with us to develop a comprehensive strategy for
addressing problems identified during Mayor Fenty's recent community
walk in Rosedale. These problems include nuisance properties, unsafe
construction sites,
dumping in alleys, and a host of other issues. We will have copies of
the report issued by the Mayor's office on actions taken by the DC
government in response to the Rosedale community walk.
- updates on Rosedale/Kingman Park community garden, the planning
process for the future Rosedale Recreation/Community Center, potential
school closings in and around Rosedale, local businesses opening in
the area, etc.
